Current Market Conditions - Northern NJ & Bergen / Hudson County
Prices continue to drop and have a chance of recovering during this summer. Buyers still have the upper-hand in the market. Sellers who refuse to discount prices still face steep competition from other sellers who are pricing accordingly. As the economy recovers, expect this effect to lessen.
If you're a first time-buyer, there are still special programs that allow for lower down payments - such as a low 3.5% downpayment for qualified persons. Contact me with questions.
For Sellers, the market continues to be unforgiving, however signs of improvement are showing. Sellers who purchased during the boom are in the worst positions, these sellers need consulting on how to price their homes appropriately so it sells quickly - feel free to contact me should you want a pricing consultation.
